why is zinc so important?
Zinc is important for so many enzyme systems, ranging from liver function to DNA synthesis, serotonin production, sex hormone production, insulin production, stabilization of the histamine response, and immune cell production.
Zinc is required for the production of hydrochloric acid that is essential to break down your food and allows the absorption of proteins, vitamins, and minerals.
It is also esssential as an antioxidant to reduce inflammation pathways and will determine tissue healing. Low levels lead to central nervous system symptoms of low memory, impaired multi tasking, lateral thinking and low mood.
Thus a chronic zinc depletion can be the basis of many other nutritional deficiencies, which can impact health.
The Test
A zinc tally test should take no longer than 10 minutes. It was developed as a 'taste test'. By swirling the zinc in your mouth, we can guage, by your taste response to the Tally, what your deficiency level is.
The cost
The zinc tally test, over the counter, cost $18.00. We are able to do the test at any time of the day, and no booking is required. If you wish for Lisa to conduct the test, you will need to book a standard 10 minute consultation, for $50.00, and it will be included.
The outcome
If you have no zinc deficiency, no further products will be required. If you are deficient in zinc, we have many products to start to raise it (chewable, liquid, capsules). The cost for these range from $20.00 to $40.00.
